What do you see when you look in the mirror?
Why is it that most of us only focus on the negative? Whether it be a blemish or sun spot, the nose being too long or ears
too big, bold spot in eyebrows or marks on our face, the face is too fat or too round. I have heard it all and truthfully when I hear all the negativity from ones self-looking at the mirror
makes me wonder if we are all looking at the same image...
As a makeup artist, the perspective of someone's beauty is by far the best one yet. I find myself staring at random people in the street and thinking to myself "oh my god the things i would do to those gorgeous cheek bones".... "Those eyebrows could not be any more perfect"......"he has the perfect almond eyes for makeup"...... "Her skin tone is to die for".... "That Cupid’s bow is perfect” ..... 90% of those people are the ones who sit in my chair and are insecure about those gorgeous features I just complimented in my head. Its mind blowing to see someone who is so gorgeous feels so insecure.
Those of you who fall into this category need to look at it differently. If you don’t value your beauty
then no one will. Don’t let a tragedy take place for you to appreciate the beauty that you have now. I heard a story once about a lady who viewed life in a different perspective. She woke up with only three strands of hair. She looks at the mirror wondering how to style her hair for the day, so she decides to braid her hair. Monday when she woke up, she only had two strands of hair, so she
decides to go with pigtails. Tuesday she wakes up with one piece of hair, she does a ponytail and she is ready for her day. The next day she woke up with no hair at all. The lady says (with excitement) ''I don’t have to do my hair at all today" and walks out the door ready for her day. The moral of this story is that beauty is what you make it. She could have been insecure about losing her hair
however all she ever focused on was positivity NOT negativity.
Many females want to cover everything up with makeup, but if you don’t have the confidence or even believe yourself to be beautiful then what are you really covering?. If eyeliner, lip
gloss or even mascara gives you a boost of confidence then by all means wear it. I myself will not walk out of my house without eyeliner at least. Wearing makeup will not make you beautiful it can and will enhance a certain feature. Unless you cake that makeup on your face, which is a "HUGE NO NO” if that’s the case and I see it, I will book you a class with me girllllll :). In all seriousness how do you want someone to find you attractive or beautiful if you don’t believe it yourself? I believe I am beautiful in my own way and I don’t need to live up to 2014 beauty standards to know that I AM beautiful, neither should you!
Try this once in a while; you will be amazed how confidence will
take its course....
1- Look in the mirror and only point out the things you like
about yourself.
2- Compliment yourself after step one (remember no one is watching therefore don’t be embarrassed) DON'T acknowledge the things that bothers you, it defeats the purpose. (Start over if you focus on the things you don’t like)
Next time you think of beautiful things don’t forget to count
yourself in. The difference in what you and I see when we look at you is that
YOU see imperfection and i see beyond that. I see BEAUTY in your
imperfection.
You are beautiful, you might not see it but I DO!!
